NVMe for the sync
Chain state is disk-bound. Every VPS is NVMe. Dedicated plans publish the exact drives.
Disk sized to the chain
A pruned Bitcoin node fits a small VPS. An unpruned node with txindex wants about 1 TB free. Don't order a 40 GB disk for an archival node.
Validators on dedicated hardware
A process that can't miss slots should not share a CPU with strangers. Use a dedicated server and the chain's own hardware notes.

- Backups of wallet files and channel state are entirely yours. Losing a Lightning channel state is not something we can undo.

No. We rent the server. The node software, the wallet and the backups are yours.
Can I pay in the coin I'm running?
Yes. BTC, XMR and the other invoice coins are the same price. The catalog is still in USD.
Is a VPS safe for a validator?
It can run. Dedicated hardware is what we recommend when missed slots matter. Read the chain's requirements before you choose.
