Warrant canary
Statement dated 2026-10-31. Next scheduled update: 2026-11-30.
As of 2026-10-31, MercureHosting states the following:
- We have not received any national security letter, secret court order or other legal demand that comes with a gag order.
- We have not been required to install monitoring equipment, backdoors or interception software on our network or servers.
- We have not disclosed customer encryption keys, account data or server contents to any third party under a non-disclosure obligation.
- We have not been subject to any search or seizure of our infrastructure.
- No one has compelled us to modify our systems to weaken the privacy of our customers.
How this works
Some legal orders forbid a company from saying it has received them. They generally can't force a company to keep publishing a statement that has become false. So we renew this statement every month. If it isn't renewed by the date above, or if any line quietly disappears, you should assume it is no longer true.
What this canary doesn't cover
Ordinary legal requests that come without a gag order are handled as described in our privacy policy, and we notify affected customers wherever the law allows. Abuse reports and suspensions under the Acceptable Use Policy are routine operations and aren't covered here.
Verification
Each renewal will be signed with our PGP key. Questions about this statement can go to support@mercurehosting.com.
