What happens when you receive a DMCA notice?

Which location should I read first?
If foreign-notice handling is the reason you're here, start with the non-EU pages and read the considerations. EU locations are a poor fit when the goal is distance from EU instruments.
Do you ignore court orders too?
No. We comply with valid court orders issued in the jurisdiction where the server is located.
Will you forward every complaint to me?
You hear about complaints we are acting on, where we're allowed to tell you. A notice that doesn't identify an infringement and doesn't match local law does not become a ticket you have to answer.
Does this cover trademark and privacy complaints?
The same local-law review applies to complaints generally. The terms describe the process. Different countries treat trademarks, privacy and defamation differently, which is why the location pages exist.

Ehrlicher Umgang mit Meldungen
Eine US-DMCA-Meldung führt nicht automatisch zur Sperrung. Beschwerden werden nach dem Recht des Landes geprüft, in dem der VPS steht. Gültige Gerichtsbeschlüsse aus diesem Land werden befolgt. Urheberrechtsverletzungen nach diesem Recht verstoßen weiterhin gegen die Richtlinie zur zulässigen Nutzung.
